Do you have any interest in puppetry? Whether you've never picked one up before or want to improve your skills, this class is for you. Puppets can help you become a more effective storyteller, counselor, or educator. Over 3 weeks, you'll learn the basics of puppetry performing and hopefully make some new puppeteer friends here in Columbus. Learn the basics and tricks to help make your characters come alive & your audiences more receptive.
This class will run Sundays at 10 AM from September 13th - 27th.
The instructors for this class are Ryan Sullivan and Brad Williams. Ryan has loved puppetry since he was a child, but it took befriending Big Bird in 2013 before he started putting a puppet on his hand. Brad Williams has been performing with his puppet Porridge since 2016 with Open Heart Creatures and around Columbus.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
No prior experience required.
Age requirement: 12+ welcome! Under 12 are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by a parent.
Students must abide by Hashtag Comedy’s community guidelines to remain in good standing within our educational programs.
PARKING: Street parking and paid parking is available in the back of the Hashtag Theater space.
