The workshop consists of four Saturdays, totalling 12 hours. Among topics covered are:
Character-centric storytelling
Creating one-of-a-kind relationships that drive conflict
Employing joke theory to divide stories into digestible chapters
The Comedy Hero's Journey
Devices to pre-edit your writing to ensure elevated quality and originality
Collaborative writing processes used in television writers roroms
Identifying and writing for the audience you desire
This class is for students who've taken Mike's joke writing workshops, or experienced comedians or writers. Class will run for 4 consecutive Saturdays starting April 4th - April 25th, from 10 AM - 1 PM.
Your Facilitator: Hundreds of comedians, comedy writers, advertising execs and regular folks have taken Mike's workshops and swear by his simple and fun joke writing techniques. His experience includes decades as a television comedy writer, as well as a lifetime as a stand up comic. He's performing around the world, on HBO and podcasts, and multiple appearances on the Tonight Show.

Student Level Requirements: This class is for students who've taken Mike's joke writing workshops, or experienced comedians or writers.
If the course is cancelled, tuition will be refunded.
Age requirement: 19-119 welcome!
PARKING: Paid parking available in the back of the Hashtag Theater space when spots are available. Additional paid street parking is available on High Street and around the theater.
