The Hashtag Comedy Company Opens New COMEDY VENUE IN THE SHORT NORTH
Hashtag Comedy Company is pleased to announce the grand opening of our new space at 1253 North High Street!
What started as a dream in the fall of 2012 is now happily a reality! Even in the early days as a scrappy little improv group playing in various bars, theaters and other venues throughout the city, we planned for the day we could open our own space and host amazing talent from our hometown of Columbus, Ohio (and beyond!).
As a new home for improv, sketch, standup, classes and more, we hope our space feels as warm, welcoming and inviting as many of the venue partners we’ve had throughout the years have been to us. We can’t wait for you to laugh in our new space, so join us for opening weekend while tickets last!

Hashtag Comedy Company features two co-headliners, Mike Larsen and Eric Freedman. Mike Larsen is a seasoned comedian based out of Columbus with credits that include The Tonight Show and writing for several TV shows. Eric Freedman is a nationally touring comedian who has garnered over 100 million views.

She previously was a staff writer on Comedy Central’s TOONING OUT THE NEWS and was selected as a Just For Laughs 2022 New Face in Montreal this past summer. KC has also performed at Just For Laughs Moontower, and alongside comedians Neal Brennan, Nate Bargatze and Dave Attell amongst others. KC was named the Best Up-and-Coming Comedian in Nashville by the Nashville Scene Magazine and was a semifinalist for STAND UP NBC. She has also written for and performed on Kevin Hart’s LOL Network.

Ahamed Weinberg is a Los Angeles-based writer and comedian from Philadelphia, most recently serving at a Story Editor on Ramy Youssef’s upcoming animated series for A24/Amazon. Over the years, he has performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he was featured in prominent lists such as “TimeOut LA’s Comics to Watch” and “Vulture’s 20 Comics to Watch,” and he was awarded New Face at the 2016 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Ahamed’s credits include writing, directing, and starring in two seasons of Ahamed’s Ramadan Diaries (Comedy Central Digital, Paramount +) and making notable appearances on the The Eric Andre Show (Adult Swim) and Insecure (HBO) as well as next year’s Late Bloomer (Crave) and The Joe Shmo Show (TBS). His film Lovebirds premiered on Amazon Prime as part of their inaugural FunnyFest short films festival, and his Facebook series Please Understand Me was executive produced by Sarah Silverman and released in June 2018, amassing millions of views. Ahamed has a significant presence on social media, with millions of views on his stand-up clips.
