The Laugh Lotto (Presented by The Hashtag Comedy Co.)

  • Up Front at Shadowbox Live 503 S Front Street Columbus, OH 43215 (map)

We’re excited to introduce “The Laugh Lotto” - a special engagement show which gives YOU the power write the characters of the show. You’ll submit a mad-libs like card detailing a character’s name, age, job, hobbies, etc. and the seasoned improvisers will randomly pull a card (lottery style) and bring the character to life.

Meet The Cast

Paul Stelzer In 2012, Paul took his first two improv classes, both taught by "The Godfather of Columbus Improv" Jeff Gage. In the second "Advanced" improv class, late in 2012, many of the founding members of Hashtag Comedy met and became friends. In 2013, Hashtag Comedy formed and he began performing with his Hashtag family at shows throughout Columbus. In 2015, Hashtag Comedy began performing weekly Wednesday night shows at Shadowbox (Up Front, formerly Backstage Bistro). Paul’s love for improv runs deep, “I feel very blessed to have met and performed with so many wonderful people in Hashtag and in other local improv groups during the 7 years since I took my very first improv class.”

Clay Vansickle Clay started his improv career 2+ years ago after I saw “The Hashtag Improv Show” for the first time. He took classes and started going to the “Improv Meetup” at Gressos regularly. His best friends and he were asked to be guest hosts for a Hashtag Comedy show, sold out the tickets, and put on one hell of show. Clay later joined Hashtag Comedy as a permanent member and the rest is history.

Kenny Greer Kenny grew up being idolizing the cast of “Whose Line Is It Anyways?” but never thought that improv was something that was attainable. He soon after took classes and became a Hashtag Comedy groupie and assisted in marketing their shows. In 2014 Kenny officially joined Hashtag Comedy as co-owner and... married “The Boosh” in 2015.
