Let's Play! is an improv workshop designed to pair parent and kid (ages 6-12) in a fun, interactive environment. Come learn the skills improv comedians use when they perform "on the spot" and translate those skills into more meaningful play, communication and connection between parent and child.
Participants will engage in exercises that teach:
+Being present in the moment
+How "yes, and..." can help parents and kids feel more connected
+Using play to communicate more effectively
+Harnessing a kid's innate sense of play to re-access your own creativity stores
+Fun ways to interact without screentime
This workshop is two hours, with a short break and snacks included in the time frame.
**PLEASE NOTE: Your registration fee covers ONE parent and ONE child.**
The workshop is designed specifically for one-on-one interaction between a parent/adult family member and child, as you will be partnering with your child throughout the workshop. If you have other children who would like to attend, they may register with another parent/adult family member for the purchase of an additional registration, or they may attend alongside you for an additional fee (please message us for ticketing information). But please note that some of the exercises will be more difficult to navigate in groups larger than two. We strongly encourage you to embrace this one-on-one time with your child! :)
We are so excited to meet you all in class...let's play!
